Wall Art by Emily Taylor

Last week Emily spent her days clambering about on scaffolding specially erected for her in a Bristol street. The stunning wall art pictured here was the result. Since Banksy first made a mark on the streets of Bristol in the 1990s the city has become famous for its street art which in turn has become one of the many visitor attractions that the old port has to offer.

Emily was asked by Upfest to join a group of female artists called The Six Sisters to help complete a set of murals on the fronts of six properties in North Street, Bedminster. The founder of Upfest, Stephen Hayles, said that it was “ a truly unique opportunity to promote the female urban art scene in Bristol and inspire a future generation of female artists worldwide.”

Emily, whose professional pseudonym is ejits, produces a gallery of hugely colourful, quirky and entertaining characters that clearly show her imaginative background in animation. She currently attributes her style influences to American animation and Japanese character design.

She is currently taking commissions for both indoor and outdoor murals as well as other forms of artwork.
